DBT, a member of MEDEE, the European leader in charging for electric vehicles and the start-up Chakratec, the pioneer in kinetic energy storage, have announced their cooperation around a new system that connects a multi-standard fast charging station and kinetic storage to a low-power network and multiplies it by three.
The aim is to avoid massive investments in upgrading the network. The system will store the energy when no car is being loaded and will reintroduce it into the next electric vehicle when charging. The unique advantages of kinetic energy storage over chemical batteries are its ability to provide unlimited charge cycles, and since it is not chemical, its ecological dimension.
